1. Introduction
The academic year 2025–26 has been a landmark period in the journey of the Institute for Education (IFE), Seraikela — a leading centre for higher education under Kolhan University. The institution has continued to uphold its commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and social responsibility through innovative teaching-learning practices and quality assurance mechanisms.
2. NAAC Accreditation Achievement
A major milestone was achieved when the Institute was awarded an “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in June 2025. This recognition is a testimony to the institution’s unwavering commitment to quality education, effective governance, and student-centric initiatives. The accreditation reflected the institute’s strength in curriculum design, faculty competence, research promotion, infrastructure, and community engagement.
3. Quality Assurance and IQAC Initiatives
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has played a pivotal role in strengthening the institutional framework of quality and accountability. Key initiatives during 2025–26 include continuous academic and administrative audits, introduction of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), CBCS-aligned curriculum, implementation of Learning Management System (LMS), establishment of a Research and Innovation Cell, and organization of Faculty Development Programs. The IQAC has also guided the institution in applying for Autonomous Status under the UGC (Autonomous Colleges) Regulations, recognizing the readiness of the institute to design and deliver innovative, flexible, and multidisciplinary programs aligned with NEP 2020.Successful completion of B.Ed., D.El.Ed., BCA, and BBA programs with excellent university results. Introduction of add-on and skill-oriented certificate courses in Yoga, Tribal Folk Dance, Beautician Skills, and Entrepreneurship. Student internships and projects with industries and government bodies. Increased participation in national and international conferences and publications.
5. Research, Innovation, and Collaboration
Faculty and students presented over 25 research papers at reputed conferences and journals. Institutional MoUs signed with IGNOU, NIFT New Delhi, and other partners. Proposals submitted for ICSSR and AICTE research funding. Launch of the Institutional Research Bulletin (2025 Edition).
6. Infrastructure and Facilities
Establishment of new Digital Learning Resource Centre and Language Laboratory. Upgradation of ICT-enabled classrooms, creation of Smart Seminar Hall, and implementation of solar energy and green campus initiatives. Expansion of library e-resources through N-LIST and INFLIBNET.Students actively participated in NSS, sports, cultural, and social outreach programs. Launch of Student Research Clubs and Mentorship Programs. Excellent placement and progression record. Organization of Aarohan 2025, the Annual Cultural and Academic Fest, promoting creativity and leadership.
8. Extension and Community Engagement
Rural outreach programs on literacy, health awareness, and women empowerment conducted in nearby villages. Collaborations with local NGOs for environmental and social development projects. Free coaching classes organized for underprivileged children under the ‘Each One Teach One’ initiative.
9. Faculty Empowerment
Faculty attended Refresher Courses, Orientation Programs, and FDPs organized by national institutes. Recognition received for research publications, community service, and innovation in pedagogy.
10. Future Roadmap
The Institute for Education envisions expanding academic autonomy, starting postgraduate and research programs, strengthening industry-academia collaboration, enhancing NIRF participation, and continuously improving governance and sustainability.
11. Conclusion
The academic year 2025–26 marks a transformational phase for the Institute for Education. With its NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation and active pursuit of UGC Autonomous Status, the institution reaffirms its mission of nurturing excellence, ethics, and employability. Under visionary leadership and dedicated faculty, IFE continues to emerge as a beacon of quality higher education in Jharkhand.
